Blogger resumes blogging

Long time no see, huh!!! I had almost made up my mind to stop writing on this blog and write on some meaningful topics instead. However, today I just started reading this blog again and I love it - I will not stop posting on this blog, atleast not yet. I like non-sense, illogical and irrational things in my personal life because I have enough logic and rationales in my professional life. In addition, this blog also reminds me of some beautiful moments of my life, may be one day if I get down to write a book, I would be able to use material from this blog. (yeah, you cynics out there - I would like to write a book)

Anyways, a brief update from me. In my last post I was talking about taking GMAT. I am proud to say that not only I took it, but I also kicked asses. What a sense of accomplishment it gives to me! It also helped me to get into one of very good MBA programs. Hopefully, if visa and other things work out, I would be in a new country doing my MBA from a very well recognized university and hopefully resume my student life very soon.

Next goal for me is complete my transformation into that character from movies. The ubercool character that don hats and large sunglasses in a pub at midnight, sits on a couch wearing an expensive white suit, sipping scotch and smoking cigars. I also want to develop the cold and penetrative look that makes chicks weak in their knees. Not to forget that light moustache and sexy stubble.

Anyways, the message should be that I am back and hope to make this alive once more.

Merry Christmas

For those who live in their own isolated and impervious world, its Christmas today! However some intelligent readers would argue that those "living in their own isolated and impervious world" wouldn't visit this site to read my blog. So my opening sentence is redundant. I agree with the incisive argument for most situations except the one where those isolated species are not coming to my blog because I may be a part of their isolated and impervious world.

Anyways, Merry Christmas my friends. The introductory paragraph may look weird and different than usual posts to some readers. The reason for the difference is that I am right now studying for GMAT. The readers who are familiar with GMAT, would have probably identified 3 GMAT components in above paragraph - 1) AWA 2) CR and 3)...I don't know could be SC or RC. There are two clear messages I wanted to convey by such a long story so far. They are
1) Merry Christmas
2) I am preparing for GMAT

I am posting after a long hiatus. I don't know the exact reason but it was probably because I was undergoing a lot of changes in my personal life. The changes haven't yet taken effect however the road ahead seems clearer. Hence the blog post. For those curious ones among the readers, I don't want to divulge more that what I already have since the likelihood of anything happening seems quite low. I would rather announce it after accomplishing it than announce it pre-maturely and making an ass of myself.

On the slightly different note - nothing else is happening at the moment apart from the fact I am developing an interest in European cinema. Hopefully during these vacation I will be able to lay my hands on some good European movies! Yummy - even thinking about it arouses my appetite.

Alright fellows, wish me good luck for what I am trying to achieve! If I do achieve it, let me know you wished for me. You might get something in return from me because of the wonderful effect of your best wishes

Beaches, Batman and the painter

Another month, another post! I will have to have to exercise a lot of self control to make this post politically correct and refrain from writing things which shouldn't be written here. Unfortunately or fortunately this blog does not give me my complete freedom of speech because my real identity is revealed here.

One of the things I have realized on this trip is - Opportunities do not come often enough but when they come then rather than grabbing them by both hands I have a tendency to lose them. It has been an enlightening trip with lots of travel and lots of interesting moments. Inspite of every other weekend being spent on a beach or on sea side, my lust of beaches and ocean hasn't waned. The north eastern area of US some nice beaches and I have probably seen enough to write a book based on my experiences. However, I cant be arsed!!

Anyways, I also saw two very good movies during this time - "The Dark Knight" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona". I have to say being given a choice between the Batman and "Antonio- the painter", I will choose the latter to be my idol. For all the male readers, do I need to give the reasons for my choice and for female readers, since you are cleverer of the lot, you must have already known what my choice would have been. However, on a serious note, both the movies are fucking brilliant and a must watch. If you haven't watched them already, go watch them or otherwise die in hell!!!

So there you go - A short and succinct post and until next time Au Revoir ;)

Achievement of the week - My first long drive ever

I want to write a lot of things today, but I won't. Not because I have anything better to do right now but because I am lazy. Another thing some you with keen eyes will note that, I have been writing almost 1 post per month. Only thing I can say about it is that it is not intentional. I want to write as much as possible but sometimes I don't have ideas and other times I don't have the will.

But today I am going to go against my will and put up something because it would be unfair to this blog if I don't write anything here after my 4 days of vacation. For those of you who don't know, I am currently staying in US for a short term on a short business trip and it was a long weekend here in US. On this long weekend, I drove from my place to Washington DC and back which is around 6 hours on non stop and non traffic drive and which has become approx 10hrs drive with stops and plenty of traffic. So essentially I drove for at least 20 hours during last 4 days and still after that had time and energy to write this piece. But the thing about driving in US is that it is not as tedious as driving back home. With auto transmission vehicles only thing you need to worry about is accelerator ( "Gas pedal" as they call it here) and that too is not much of worry since for a big part of journey you traffic is flowing at a constant pace and during that part you can put the car on cruise mode and viola! gas pedal problem is solved until the time you apply the break.

I found this driving as one of the most interesting part of my trip since minimum disturbances from outside world, nice cool air-conditioning, comfortable seating coupled with good music and beautiful outside view, I found driving very relaxing and pleasurable.

Other thing that gives me pleasure about this trip was even though I learnt driving very recently(those of you who have read previous post will know that i learnt driving a car in January) I had the confidence to go on this sort of adventurous road trip alone and that too in US. I have not gone on a more than 2 hours drive in India ever.

Other than that nothing much worth mentioning here on this blog happened on this trip. I realize post is a bit crappy and lacks quality but I don't have energy to think more and put more effort in this post. Howevr I will make it up by publishing a new, better post soon
