Interesting thought of the night

Lets assume that my life sucks. It would also mean that I am acting a vacuum cleaner for the people around me. Hence my life sucks all the shit around the people around me. Since I suck so much shit hence I spill so much shit over here and making the lives of people reading this more miserable. So if people reading this blog, please make sure that my life doesn't suck otherwise you are left just left with two choices:
1) Stop reading this blog
2) Feel miserable after reading my posts

Now thats what I would call some profound thought for the night.

As an afterthought, since this post contains so many "shits" and "sucks", and now my blog is Google searchable, I am pretty sure that this post will register a lot of hits from porno searching geeks. There, I also included porno as well. Now its certain that hits on my website will increase. I am so annoyingly geeky freak.

My views on Harbhajan's racist remarks

My second post in as many weeks is a testament to fact that I had been slightly less occupied in past few weeks. Another reason being that my statcounter account tells me that the frequency of visitors on the site has increased, hence the enthusiasm to spill more nonsense on this blog. Though I am, now a days, groping for words more than ever, but still I will carry on writing this piece and bore readers to death.

Well, lets start with checking my progress on learning driving skills. Its hearting to realize that I still can learn quickly enough. I am now driving to my office everyday. Although thanks to one of my colleagues (Mudit) who has been kindly accompanying me to the office in my car. It is always conforting to know that somebody is sitting besides me who knows driving. And if anything goes wrong, he can take over from me and drive. Thats about my driving then.

Another issue that comes to my mind is the recent racism debate around Harbhajan's racist slur ("monkey") on Andrew Symonds. Well, I do not have a lot of knowledge on the history of racism, and hence I may not be absolutely aware of the implications of this racist slur. But I have traveled a lot around this world and have been subjected to acts of racism, sometimes explicitly and sometimes implicitly. Hence I think I can write on this piece without being insensitive to the issue. So, in my opinion, this Harbhajan incident must be viewed in the context of the broader picture. Without undermining the severity of the offense I must say calling black a black is not as sinister as being committing cowardly malicious acts against a race and denouncing them. The way Indians were treated on the pitch by the Australians players and all the three umpires in the panel, I must way that itself was an act of racism against Indians and was much more sinister than what Harbhajan did. I would not like to condone Harbhajan for what he did, but at the same time I personally would like to see racism charges against the umpire panel and Ricky Ponting, if not the whole Australian team and see that they get more severe punishment than what Harbhajan gets.
Its hilarious the way media portrays this incident. I can remember one of the TOI articles suggesting that since Hanuman (one of the holy Indian deities) was a monkey, so Harbhajan 's racist slur was not a slur but a compliment to Symonds. I think popular newspapers like TOI should refrain from publishing such articles.

Random new year resolutions and some other ramblings

A post when the new year is relatively new is mandatory for bloggers, so here I am. Let's start with my usual shit about what is wrong, unethical in the world around me:

1) I am quite pissed off with the recent debate over controversial umpiring decisions in the recently finished Australia Vs India test match. Media, moaners, cricket pundits and other cricket lovers, either do something about this or please shut up. The dynamics of the game are such that unless these losses would affect the money flow into BCCI, they will not do anything to stop this. Indian cricket is too corrupt and money minded to think of things like winning and honour of the game. Its frustrating to see that being the money powerhouse India are, they still have to abide by ridiculous ICCI decisions. Lets go and watch ICL, hopefully it will shake the lethargy out of BCCI

2) Hair cutting saloons - I can't find a fucking decent hair cutting saloon in nearby area. I just want some one who will not ruin my hair everytime I have to get a hair-cut.

3) Thats it, no more ramblings today

In addition to that, we have bought a car. I am still trying to not to be a nuisance on the road and more importantly not to hit somebody when I accidentally press accelerator instead of brakes. Wait a min, that reminds me of my next rambling

3) Motor driving school - yes, its hilarious isn't it? I went to one of the motor driving school in the locality to learn the driving. Trust me, they are fucking ridiculous and you need keep a whip and keep flogging them to learn something. Bottomline - Please do not spend money on driving school, call me instead I will teach you how to drive, for a price of course.

Thats all the rambling I had to do, trust me I will not ramble anymore.
Finally my New year resolutions/wish list for this year:

1) Loose some weight and get some discipline into life
2) Learn at least one language course
3) Get a MBA (I know its not possible, but ....)
4) Get a life (This isn't possible either...lets see which do i fulfill in this new year 2008)

Finally, happy new year'08 to all you readers.
Cheers
